Installation of grass grid

During preparation of the foundation special attention should be paid to provide sufficient permeability and in the same time priority has always stability of soil.
The degree of ramming and thickness of foundation are determined by the character of load on the surface (cars, pedestrians etc.) for example recommended thickness of the foundation for the roadway should be 30 cm.
Before mounting grass grids it is necessary to place a layer of mixture of sand and gravel 30 cm thick on the foundation.
Grass grid should be placed either in rows or in staggered rows. Separate meshes should be connected with each other. Bends and curves are easy to make with ordinary cutting instruments. It is possible to place marking elements in the meshes (for example to mark parking places).
According to the specifications of the soil and corresponding standards there can appear necessity to of fencing the area with border edging.
Filling the meshes of grass grid with turf or substratum with the following planting of grass should be carried out in two stages: before and after sieving. For the substratum to grow the area should be watered before the sieving. After planting grass the level of the watered substratum should coincide with the upper edge of grids.
During the germination of the grass the area should be regularly watered. Avoid car traffic on the area during grass germination. If turf was used the area can be used right away.
Do not forget to water regularly and if necessary mow clean the lawn and also to feed the grass with fertilizers. This guarantees a nice appearance of surface with grass.

Recommendations on installation of geogrid

Geogrids are anchored on the slopes by means of steel or high strength plastic L-anchors 12-16 cm wide and 0.6-1.2 m long. Anchors are placed along the contour of each geogrid to ensure its stretch in the form of rectangle.
Between the geogrids and the surface of soil slope (in case of filling of frame with detritus) there is placed separating and draining layer of non-woven textiles with density of 200-400 h/m.

Recommendations on installation of garden border edging "Country"

Put border-edging at the sun before installation to simplify cutting of the border-edging and bending it to give it necessary shape. Meanwhile dig a channel 8 cm deep along the edge of the lawn;
Place the border-edging into the channel;
If necessary use fixing pegs. For this pierce the border-edging at its lower part with pegs on-the-mitre 45 degrees each 1,5 m;
Fill up the channel, ram it. Use gravel, ground or other free-flowing material to finish the installation.

Recommendations on installation of plastic border edging

Subsoil should be suitable for use of plastic fixing anchors. If the soil is rocky steel nails should be used in this way. The curves should be fixed with additional anchors;
With the help of spirit level mark the lines of placement the border edging. Be sure that the subsoil is rammed and leveled. With stretched wire or fishing-line mark the level of the profile of the border edging in such way that it coincides with lower level of neighbor surface (for example pavement or foot-path), so that the place of connection was visible;
Fix the border edging with plastic anchors along the marked line, leaving 5-mm gaps for joints. If the surface (for example a pavement) should be rammed place the anchors closer to each other - near 20 cm. The parts of the border edging are easily cut to the needed length on the place of installation;
If it is necessary make additional layers on the surface.
